First Tipitaka Ceremony under the sacred Shri Maha Bodhi, Sri Lanka

The First Tipitaka Chanting Ceremony took place from July 22, 23, 24, 2010 under the Shri Maha Bodhi Tree where close to 300 Venerables from all over Sri Lanka who participated. It was also attended by the local Governor, Chief Minister and other lay devotees from Sri Lanka. Some 70 participants came from Thailand to participate at the opening ceremony. We printed copies of their chanting material, and also offered daily dana and robes to each participant. It was truly a blessed and most auspicious occasion.
